Can you be abstinent and not pure? Absolutely! Being pure is a condition of the heart and abstinence is a choice to refrain from something (ex. sexual activity). Our goal is to be both. And...did you know that saying celibate is literally putting yourself under a word curse. Let's talk about it.

Peace under Pressure

What happens after you pray for the Lord to use you in a great way? or you receive a prophetic word or a promise? Pressure!! God begins to process us by allowing the pressures of life, warfare or even the consequences of our sins to peel off the layers that we no longer need so our new oil can flow. But how do we have peace in this process? Let's talk about.

Boards & Broken Pieces

Sometimes life will ship wreck you or our own decisions may however it happens there are circumstances that will leave us trying to put the pieces back together. Often times we have built a ship with our own effort and the Lord will allow us to become ship wrecked so that we will know it is not our strength that will get us there but His Spirit. Regardless of how we get to the place God is leading us we will surely make it even if it is on Board & Broken Pieces. Let's talk about it.

1. Be honest with yourself about where you are spiritually, mentally, financially or emotionally. Are you ready for what you're asking God for? (self examination)
2. Trace or identify how you got where you are currently. What decisions or lack thereof contributed to your ship wreck. (stop avoiding)
3. Do what is required to be prepared for what you are believing for. Partner with God by obeying the instructions He gave you and do the practical things to be prepared. (activate your faith)

Overcomer

Today I decided to be very candid about where I am in my Christian journey and how in the moments of immense pressure, what came out of me was fear and doubt instead of faith and trust. God often allows us to experience these moments of development order to remove those things that are not in alignment with His word. If I'm honest, I did not want to hear anything about being sanctified, molded, prepared etc., my situation is real and I need a real move of God. But sometimes the move of God is you changing your belief about your situation being changed in the moment. How can we preach about peace that surpasses all understanding if we never lived it. Let's talk about it.
